Finds #2 : Place du Jeu de Balle

Here's a little category I thought I would do often but as usual, I never stick to doing anything... Anyways, last week I went to the famous Brussels' Flea Market on the Place du Jeu de Balle which is like Heaven on cobbles stones. I really do regret not having gone more often when I was living there. I wanted to buy about everything but I had to restrain myself, keeping in mind Ryanair's generous cabin luggage allowance. I was really pleased to find old pictures from the beginning of the 20th century. I was actually thinking to myself a couple of months ago that old postcards and photos seem to have become a rare commodity in car boot sales.








I also found this little shadow box which matches the one I found in Helsinki (a favourite find of mine) nearly two years ago :

oh dear, thank you for your sweet comment - is it wrong that im cyber-struck (does that word exist?) - already said but love your blog, it makes me nostalgic of a london i will probably never know
