Here comes the time for me to do a yearly recap of my reads.
I read one less book than last year, but I managed to keep my 2012 resolution to review every single book (bar the one of this month which review will come in January) and it might look like nothing, but for someone who never finishes anything, it is a small victory.
I read from more male authors than female (9 versus 5) and as last year, the majority of the books were from American authors (that realisation comes as weird for someone who used to be obsessed about Brit lit).
And finally, my decade of predilection were the 1950s with a total of 4 books written in that era.
A click on the title of the book will take you to its review:
1. Franny and Zooey, J.D. Salinger
2. Bonjour Tristesse, Françoise Sagan
3. The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer, Jennifer Lynch
4. Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, Haruki Murakami
5. A Confederacy of Dunces, John Kennedy Toole
6. 1Q84, Haruki Murakami
7. Love, Angela Carter
8. Louise Brooks, Barry Paris
9. Moomin: The Complete Tove Jansson Comic Strip vol.2, Tove Jansson
10. Brideshead Revisited, Evelyn Waugh
11. Breakfast at Tiffany's, Truman Capote
12. Gribiche, Colette
13. Life of Pi, Yann Martel
