a day in blackrock

One of my favourite things to do on the week-end is to go to Blackrock. It's a little town on the Dublin seaside, a mere 30 minutes away from my place.
It's just lovely to see the sea, it always makes me feel refreshed. There is a little market there on Saturdays and Sundays, filled with bric-a-brac, vintage clothes, books, etc... all you could expect from a market really.
I thought I would take you with me as it was all lovely and sunny last week-end.
It's nothing special, but it's our little ritual, often punctuated by a greasy lunch in the diner in front of the market.
My boyfriend had some lucky finds in the old video game shop and he even treated me to a book, yes! I've been super keen on reading A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway since watching Midnight in Paris last year.
After a quick look at my pile to read, I think you can expect a review in 2016... At best!

I love A Moveable Feast! I think it's the first book I ever bought for my boyfriend. I just checked out The Paris Wife from the library- a fictional novel based on true events, from Hadley's point of view, about her move to Paris with Ernest. So excited to read that!

that sounds interesting! will you do a review? might move up a moveable feast to the top of my pile, to read it in conjunction xx

yes! i have been wanting to start talking about books on my blog, but i've been a terribly slow reader lately. too many other things grabbing my attention!

i'm super slow too (and i generally have a long 'mourning' period after i finished a book) but it can be a good thing, can't it? i mean we do enjoy them longer :) i'd definitely be interested in reading your book reviews!

What a nice video! Loved the song, something I would definitely listen to.

Blackrock sounds like a nice place to get away to for a little bit :)

What a lovely little film Moira, I really love what you did with it. One of my friends used to live in Blackrock and whenever we'd go visit him we'd always go to the market, it's amazing the weird stuff we'd find there! Good choice of food too, you've really made me want a malt and some guac!

Are you planning on doin any more videos like this one? I'd love to see more!

@stephanie lula: doesn't it sound like summer?! i'm expecting exciting things from this band x

@is it secret, is it safe: thank you! x

@jane: if you ever come to dublin, i cant recommend enough going a tiny bit out of the city, the seaside is the best x

@emma: i am! i've been meaning to do a monthly video but i had a very temperamental editing software, now it's sorted, i hope to be more productive. Not sure what I should do next tho. Maybe i'll have a series on dublin seaside towns?! x
